The Assassination of a Poet (POEM)
Star Whores: Attack of the Clones
(Lyrical Anakin Skywalker/ I fathered your style. Flip the mask, check the sinister smile/ Swing light sabers like cross faders/ a killing spree of emcees sparked the becoming of Darth Vader - Write Jus)
YO YOOOOOOOOOO!!! What up world? Before I get into this blog, I'd like to tell everyone to check out my man Furious's blog >>>> http://furiousexpress.blogspot.com/
Dude has a lot of deep views but very down to earth as well. CMG family is in full effect!!! Also, I messed around with my design for the blog... don't know if I'm gonna keep it like this or not but I guess we'll see. Now, on to the blog...
I figured I've been taking too much time to talk about my personal life, so I figured I'd take some time to get something off of my chest that has been bothering me lately. Have any of you guys out there heard any of these new rappers???? OMG THEY ALL SOUND THE SAME!!! There one style that's slpit up between like 50 million wanna be emcees out there. For instance... Nicki Minaj sounds like Drake... who sounds like Lil' Wayne. Here's the catch... who sounds like Nicki Minaj???? (Drum roll please...) JUSTIN BIEBER!!!! WTH?!?!? And what's up with this whole retarded idea of using similes WITHOUT the word like or as? Example...
"These rappers are making me pissed... R. Kelly"
Hahaha, ok that wasn't the best example but I felt like being ignorant. Thing is, EVERYONE is doing it now. Sad thing is, it's not even just about music. It's like, EVERYONE wants to be a follower now. I thought it was only acceptable to consistently be a follower is in the the world of Twitter.... guess I was wrong. When I take a look at my CMG squad, I see a variety of styles, skill sets and personalities. Nobody sounds the same in my squad, and I LOVE IT! When we meet up every week, I get the same person that I expect to get. I don't ever see one of my guys trying to do the same stuff that everyone else is on right now, they stick to being who they are. I could of sworn there was a time when everyone was telling people to "do you". Ironically, that's when the cloning became popular cause it was that very same statement that EVERYONE was saying....UGH!!!!! Not too long ago everyone was going on Facebook saying if you ask me a question in my inbox, I'll answer on my page. I said.... HECK NO!! For what? Cause my other friends are doing it? Nah homie, I'm strrrrrrraight!!!
So this is what I plan on doing... I plan on starting a war against all of these clones (Imma call it Cloneism as opposed to Terrorism). If I gotta go to war by my damn self, then so be it. I gotta go after the defective ones first though so I can get them outta the way. Come now people, yal know what I'm talking about... bad rappers that think they sound like Lil' Wayne (codename: Lil' Lames), fat/ugly chicks that think they are Black Barbies (codename: Wack Barbies), and all of these other people that are making a desperate effort to be something they are NOT! Most people call them "swagger jackers" but then again most people don't even know what the hell swagger even means. As it says in the line at the beginning of the blog, I am the Lyrical Anakin Skywalker. Yal ain't ready to see me as Vader yet. We live in a diverse society were it's not that hard to have a sense of identity, just most people don't know how to establish one yet. All of the young black youth wanna live life as is they live on the set of 106 & Park. What ever is the popular thing to do, you'll be on top of it from day one. Maybe you should try to leave your own mark on the planet before you leave it and become just a mere irrelevant memory at the least. I'm tired of having these Keyshawn Johnson "C'mon Man"moments when I turn on the tv, radio, or even look outside my window. And for the record, I'm not bitter... I just speak the truth. I'm out world...PEEEEEEEEEEEACE!!!!

Time out... time in
So at church there was a guess speaker that talked about "in between" time... pretty much meaning the time between your recent struggle and your soon to be blessing. It made me realize that a lot of people (including myself) sometimes have tendencies to try to rush the whole process or recuperating instead of taking the time to let God do his work. Now, for those who aren't into the whole religion thing, look at it this way... some people don't take time to stop, think, breath, focus, and then move forward. Regardless on how you want to look at it, the "in between" time is VERY important process. So that's pretty much where I'm at now with a lot of things in my life. Luckily for me, I do see change coming and I'm getting some kind of clarity for a lot of issues... but still I feel that I have to slow down. I see how some of yal people are... yal rush into EVERYTHING! Then be sitting around scratching your head while thinking, "what the heck just happened?" Yeah.... I'm NOT trying to go through that. Not saying that I'mma go though life on cruise control, but I just gotta chill out and find some direction. I know while I'm looking, God will be guiding me. Even though I may seem ok on the outside to most people, internally I am BROKEN! I need time to heal, just like everyone and everything else would in this type of situation. We'll se what happens in this process. Of course, I'll keep everyone posted. I'm out... PEACE WORLD!!!

Flows, Blows, and Do...nuts???
First off, today was the "Music 4 Minors" show in Hammond and I gotta say that I had a good time. We took a while to set up on stage, but that really wasn't our fault. There wasn't enough space to put our stuff up there ahead of time so we had to do things on the fly. Overall, we had a good time. Props goes out to all of the other bands there, all of the families that supported us, and of course, Kris for setting up the show. Also, props for the free donuts (yeah, they kept them coming too. Gotta love free food of any kind). We not only ate a lot of sweets there, but we were able to a whole box of donuts home with us. Yes, it pays to be a rapper yal! Hahaha.
Ok, that covered the flows and do...nuts (haha), now on the the blows. If yal didn't know, tonight Pacquiao fought Margarito. Ok, he didn't really "fight" him... he kinda just beat him up round, after round, after round, after round, after... yeah, you get the point. So either you can say the "blows" represented the punches Margarito took from da Pacman, or you can say in comparison to Pacquiao... Margarito's fighting skills "blows", HAHAHAHA. I'm sure that right eye gonna be burning like hell in the morning. That's ok though, cause that's what happens when a cheater gets what he had coming to him (yal know what I'm talkin' about).
Today was a pretty good day to say the least, but now I gotta get some rest for tomorrow. Tomorrow shall also be a eventful day cause I will FINALLY be an OFFICIAL member of Living Grace Church!!! Yay me!!! Anyways, yal B-E-Z out there. PEEEEEEEEEEEACE!!!!

Love, take two...
YO YOOOOOO!!! Ok, so this is pretty much part two to my last blog (this WILL at least be a trilogy I'm sure). I've had a lot to think about since the last one and some things have started to clear up in my mind. I was talking before about trying to find that "movie-like" love that just SOOOOO romantic that you'd even die for it. I guess I kinda was implying that I didn't find that love, but I was wrong. The way I see it (now) is that for a movie to be good, it can't be predictable. So if everything was to go the way that I had planned or visioned, then that really wouldn't make this love movie as good as expected. Furthermore, this romance movie that I'm in now isn't even over. True indeed I don't know how it's gonna end, but that's how the suspense builds up. It would be different if me and her hated each other, or one of us had become the villain (gotta love this whole movie analogy thing right?), but that's not even the case. I guess when it's all said and done, the best thing to do in these kinds of situations is to take everything for what it is. I haven't given up hope that me and her will live "happily ever after", and even with that being said... I still don't even know how many different ways a happy ending can even occur (no nasty Asian jokes please, haha). Everything is in God's hand, and God has been and always will be my favorite film director in this movie I call life. I gotta wrap this up cause I'm at rehearsal with the squad now. Big show tomorrow... I'll be blogging about it tomorrow for sure. Yal B-E-Z out there world. PEEEEEEEEACE!
P.S. I love you Kiera Stevenson! (aka Lil' Momma)
Guess I should of gave yal a caking warning, haha...

Love, take one...
What's up world. Remember a few days ago I said I felt that something bad is gonna happen soon? Well, I guess I new what I was talking about. As of now I guess I'm a single guy. I wasn't even gonna put this in my blog cause I don't feel like talking about it, but I figured that my blogs are supposed to be about me, so it's only right that I do talk about it.
I'm not going to get into details about what happened. I don't feel like being THAT open to the public about it right now. All I know is that this REALLY hurts inside, and right now I can't even think straight. I know a lot of people are in search for the type love that you see in the movies or read about it books, myself included. I guess the reality of it all is that there's a reason that that kind of love is in books and movies, and not often found in the real world. Maybe because that kind of love is fictional, just made for the sake of entertainment (note, I said maybe). I'm sure there's some people out there that will tell me that they have proof of that kind of love DOES exist, but until they come knocking on my door with a story to tell, my views will remain the same. Ya know, in a lot of those movies people's love for each other gets tested by being in some of the most hectic situations possible. I thought what me and her had would be able to survive those kinds of test, but I guess I was wrong. Just the thought of knowing that I was wrong hurts more then I could ever imagine. I haven't given up hope though... maybe that shows just how retarded I am. She told me before to "never let go", but I guess that only applied to certain things in our relationship. My advice to to the public... when you fall in love with someone, ask your self what are you willing to do to keep what you have. Maybe then you can truly understand the type of love you actually have for that person. Don't get me wrong, I'm not questioning if she loved me or not, cause I know she did, however... no, I'm not even gonna finish that statement. I'm too confused right now to even make any assumptions about it. The more I write, the more that it hurts for me to even think about it. So on that note, be blessed people...

Where has the blogger gone?

Decisions, decisions
YO YOOOOOOOOO!!! What up world? Didn't know I was fasting did ya? Well I DECIDED to (try) to go without eating for a day. So far so goo... ok, I'm not even gonna finish that lie. I'm STARVING over here. Not too much details on that for tho. Now, on to the blog...
So today was football Sunday and my fantasy teams are WHOOPIN' BUTT today (yeah, I try not to curse in these blogs...lol). I'm in 4 different leagues and let me tell ya, it can be hard work trying to get a 4 victories week after week. Fantasy football is just like real football when you think about it. There's plenty of decisions you have to make like...should I start this guy or bench him? Should I accept this trade offer? Do I release this player? When you think about it even deeper, you start to see that life is all about decisions. Everything from what to eat in the morning to what movie am I gonna watch in the evening. Those situations, however, pale in comparison to some of the other decisions that you might make throughout the day. Like... should I trust my girlfriend/boyfriend during a certain situation, or even something like... should I keep my faith in God even when I feel that he's let me down? Now I know that's kinda drastic, but to some people it's very realistic. Heck, even me fasting was a drastic decision that I had to make (ok, maybe not that drastic, but you get the point). I think a lot of people don't really even take time to acknowledge some of the daily decision we make cause due to the fact that some decisions are made unconsciously. I wonder how many people take a look at all the decisions they made during the corse of the day and wonder how the day would would of turned out if they did EVERYTHING different? I know sometimes we as humans think about going FAAAAAAAAR back in our past and wonder about how things could of been different with certain choices we've made, but seriously.... who know what the outcome of your future will be from here on out just cause of something that you've done earlier today. Think about... it can really get that deep. That's kinda why I like the whole concept of "the butterfly effect". Going back into time and doing something different as simple as killing a fly could change EVERYTHING. So when it comes to life (and fantasy football), take time to think your decisions out thoroughly. At the same time, don't let fear dictate your decision. Taking what I said about trusting your girlfriend/boyfriend... If you really love that person and that person gives you reason to trust them, then don't let past relationships effect that. In the end, you may end up ruining what you have. Fear is a natural feeling, so being cautious with decisions just naturally makes sense. It's ok though people, as long as you try to do what's best for yourself or your team (yes, I'm still talking about fantasy football, haha) you'll be just fine. B-E-Z YAL!
On a side note... I will be winning ALL of my FF games this week. YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!

Paranoia For Ya...
What up people! How should I start this blog off? Hmmmmmm... ok, I'll just come out and say it..today SUCKED! Now in reality it really wasn't a bad day, however throughout the whole day it felt like I should be preparing myself for something bad soon. I felt down, sad, damn near depressed. Now it didn't help that most of the day I was by myself, but even so, I've been through days by myself before and everything was fine. I guess I should remember this day, cause if something does happen at least I seen it coming ahead of time. The more I sit here wondering if I'm really tripping or not, the more that I realize that I have a long way to go when it comes to me and my relationship with God. When you have that strong relationship with him, you don't really have these kinds of feelings (at least, that's what I believe anyways). I SHOULD have the "everything will be fine" mentality cause I know God is watching over me. Well, I don't feel that way right now. Maybe I should stop typing right now and take time to talk to him.
A few moments later...
Did you actually think I was just saying that for the sake of blog entertainment? OF COURSE I took time to talk to him, the blog can wait. I had to ask him for strength cause I know I'm real low on it right about now. When I put everything into prospective, I begin to understand (a lil' bit) of why I feel this way. Maybe some of you guys/gals can relate to me on this one. Have you ever gotten to a point in your life when you can honestly say "if one more bad thing happens to me, I think I won't be able to take it anymore?" Yeah, I'm sure you have... why did I even ask, lol. I feel like I've had to be so strong for so many years that it has wore me down. So if anything feels kinda "off" (like there's a glitch in the matrix), then it's like my body instantly starts to wear down as if it's going to shut itself down for good. I guess this is just another one of those personal issue that I have to deal with. I never intended to have this blog be like a "self help" session in the mental clinic, but hey... sometimes it be like that, haha. I guess this is just something that God and I will have to get to the bottom of. We all need to remember to count our blessings instead of focusing on our setbacks. Me personally, I tend for forget about that from time to time. It's all good, cause tomorrow is a new day. Although tomorrow is never promised, I'll make sure to try to change my attitude if God allows me to open my eyes to see it. Yal take care out there. PEEEEEEEEEEEEACE!
MUSIC UPDATE!!!!!
So after I heard some of the verses for the "Kingz" track, I was FORCED to do mine next. Personally I think it came out great. Now just waiting on two more people to finish and the track will be done. Time to move on to the next track. YEAAAAAAAAAAH BOY!!!
Blah Blah Blah Yakety Smackety
Well, I'm not home now so that's why this blog is coming late (although early in the day, this should of been Friday's blog). Funny thing is, there's really nothing to talk about. CMG had our weekly Friday rehearsal and everything went well. We finally got our set list for the show so now we're just waiting for the 13th. This should be very interesting, can't wait to see how it all works out. We also got a chance to listen to Matt's, Aaron's, and Phil's (second) verse to the "Kingz" joint produced by yours truly and all I gotta say is.... WOW! That track is gonna be real tight, to the point where we are gonna turn some heads for sure. I need to start writing for it, hopefully my verse will be done by sometime today.
On another note, next week I'mma really start looking into going to college (finally). I wanna major in something that either has to do with writing (suggestions???) or maybe even psychology. I know God gave me my talents for a reason, but I'm finally starting to see that I need to take things to the next level. I don't know if I'm 100% ready for school, but I'm going for it anyways. I guess that'll give me more to blog about in the near future, lol.
I'm sure the next blog will be better, still tired as hell right now so just bare with me for today. Matter of fact, I'll make sure to do another one today. I'm about to go back to sleep... PEEEEEEEEACE!

The Ugly Truth
Anyways, so today was a pretty boring day. Tried working on music, but my brain wasn't functioning right. Didn't talk to wifey too much today either but I should be seeing her tomorrow (YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!). It's funny though cause I was supposed to see her today but she didn't come because her hair wasn't done (she's probably doing it as I type). I told her that it don't matter how her hair looks, I just wanted to see her. Then later on today I looked in the mirror and said to myself, "I don't think I'm that attractive". It kinda made me realize that we live in a world where looks are more important than they should be. Things can be so bad that people's lack of self esteem nowadays can even lead to suicide. All people want is to feel wanted, loved, and accepted by either specific people or in society as a whole. So yeah, I guess I had an "ugly" moment today. It happens, you just gotta get over it and keep moving. The thing about beauty is that SOMEBODY out there in the world will be able to identify it even if others don't, but identifying self beauty starts with yourself (ugh, that sounded like a damn self help video or something, but it's true nonetheless). When it's all said and done, it's really NOT THAT SERIOUS PEOPLE! And on that note, wifey just called and I'm tired so I'm outta here. HOLLA!!!
Oh yeah, the album cover is FINALLY in the making! It's about damn time, lol. PEEEEEEEEEACE!!!!!!

Friendly Fire?
So the question was, "Is it fair for someone to base a friendship on communication skills"? Now I didn't mean people that don't know how to communicate well with others, but I meant more like... people that communicate with others for their own selfish benefit. People that only contact you cause they need someone to talk to or they need someone to listen to them rant. I always though communication went like this... You (or I) send a message, I (or you) decode the message, and then give feedback on it. The other person then give your opinion on my feedback, and so on. When it comes to friendship, those roles should be easily interchangeable but a lot of times it's not... making me believe that there's no true friendship there at all. I feel that a lot of times I'm used as a "tool" to give feedback/advice to someone in need. So in essence, our relationship is based of your dependance of me, and not a friendship. Sucks don't it?
At Bible Study today, I finally got some clarity (the Lord does that often, lol). I realized two things... One, If I can't tell the other person how I feel about the way they communicate with me then I also have communication problems. And two, Although I may have an issue with "how" people communicate with me, I know there are others that have issues on "when" I communicate with them. I know I have tendencies to fall off the face of the earth temporarily, and it's something I have to work on. I feel we as humans all have the ability to detect a possibility of structuring a strong foundation with someone in order to build a friendship. That foundation, however, takes TWO people to build, so I have to play my part as well... even if that includes letting the other person know what is needed from them to benefit the friendship as a whole (and of course, that works in reverse). So when it comes to the original question, I guess you have to do as much as you can if you think the friendship is worth fixing, but you can only do so much by yourself.
Ok, enough with that now. On to a music update:
Me and my Skillvorkian are working on a new track called "Whatever It Takes". Track is sounding pretty dope so far, so be on the lookout for it. It MIGHT not be out right way cause I just got some bad news (I'll keep you posted on that later). Right now I'd be going insane if my girl didn't calm me down earlier. Don't worry though people, the music is coming soon. Yal B-E-Z... PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEACE!!!!

Minor Details
For those who don't know, me and the rest of my CMG camp are doing a charity benefit for "Music For Minors Inc", an organization that's base out of Indiana that helps kids that are dedicated to making music. Pretty cool huh? Anyways, today the founder Kris Setlak was supposed to meet up with the bands and I found out that me and my boy Oscar (Skillvorkian) were the ones that were gonna represent our group. Ok, whatever... I'm down. So we meet up at the Borders in Highland and everything sounded pretty good to me. They are expecting around 200 people to show up, so this will defiantly be out biggest show to date. We get 30 minutes to perform CLEAN material for a family environment...NO PROBLEM. So, hopefully this will be a major step in the "Write" direction, haha. We're on 3rd, so our time slot is around 7:30. I have to admit, I'm kinda excited (key word, "kinda"). Don't get it twisted though... Chris LOVES the kids! I'm attaching a flyer of the show to the bottom of this blog (unless I find a way to screw up my first blog).
As for the rest of my day, it was pretty great. I talked to wifey ALL FREAKIN' day, and loved every minute of it. I told her for the first time today that she was my best friend. It's great to have your girl as your best friend, and I think all relationships should be like that. Ironically, a few people made me really think about the whole idea of friendship today. I'm too tired to touch on that right now, so I'll save all of that info for tomorrow. Until then...PEEEEEEEEEACE!!!
